Overview of Responsibilities (Management Model 1)

The following table outlines the responsibilities of L&SC Strategies, MRAEL (Employer) and Host Organisation during the course of a Supply Chain Graduate Program in operation.

  • Develop Graduate Program Structure with Host Organisation and MRAEL (including Professional Mentoring Schedule)
  • Develop Training Assessment Tools tailored to requirements of Graduate Program Structure
  • Administer Graduate Recruitment and Selection processes with Host Organisation and MRAEL
  • On-site induction of Graduate to Graduate Program Structure
  • Administer initial Training Assessment Tools with Graduate to identify skills gaps and knowledge gaps. Grade and document results and provide feedback to Graduate, Host Organisation and MRAEL
  • Develop Professional Development Training Plan (identifying training providers) for Graduate for approval by Host Organisation and MRAEL
  • Implement the Professional Mentoring Schedule via provision of Professional Mentors for on-site mentoring sessions at beginning of Period 1, 2 and 3; fortnightly virtual mentoring sessions; weekly ad hoc contact from Graduates
  • Provide monthly professional guidance and follow-up support to Host Organisation throughout duration of Program
  • Administer Training Assessment Tool with Graduate after Period 1, 2 and 3, to illustrate advancement in skills and knowledge. Grade and document results and provide feedback to Graduate, Host Organisation and MRAEL
  • Seek employment opportunity for Graduate with Host Organisation
  • MRAEL will be the legal employer of Graduate
  • Assist in identifying, recruiting and setting-up placement opportunities
  • Provide pastoral care to each Graduate
  • Provide mediation support
  • Manage payroll
  • Provide human resources support
  • Provide and assist the Graduate to maintain their Training Record Book
  • Provide Soft Skills Training to Graduate
  • Provide quarterly written reports on the progress of each Graduate and Graduate Program
  • Provide support to L&SC Strategies and Host Organisation in the continuous improvement, management, monitoring and measurement of Graduate program
  • Assist in the permanent placement of Graduates in collaboration with L&SC Strategies
  • Liaise to ensure successful transfer of employment of Graduate from MRAEL to the Host Organisation
  • Provide Graduate placement opportunity within a logistics and supply chain environment covering multiple functional areas
  • Assign an on-the-job Trainer for the Graduate per functional area
  • Identify how the Graduate could best assist in the achievement of the organisation's logistics/supply chain goals
  • Assist in the professional development of the Graduate
  • Maintain the safety of the Graduate
