Tender Success Mentoring Program
First impressions are everything especially when submitting a tender to win business. And you've only got one chance to make each tender a success.
This program is specifically designed to assist small to medium sized businesses tendering for projects throughout Queensland as a first, second or third tier supplier.
Small to medium enterprises (SMEs) have varying degrees of experience and success with tendering and with compliance to the high standards of requirements that corporations have of suppliers.
Whilst the resources and energy sectors have been the major focus of this program, the information provided to suppliers during the program also apply to the majority of supply chains and corporations.
The Tender Success Mentoring Program addresses the tendering knowledge and skill gaps of those with tendering responsibilities and provides an awareness of the requirements of SMEs.
Program includes:
PART A: 2-3 hour session ($600 ex GST)*
1. Tender Tool Kit: Focused on the critical requirements of suppliers seeking to work within the supply chains of corporations throughout Queensland as a first, second or third tier supplier.
2. Assessment: Review of a sample of the supplier's existing tenders (successful and unsuccessful).
3. Provision of technical advice and information: Specific detail and requirements necessary for the completion of tender documents and the expectations of suppliers, including:
- What the resources and energy sector seek in tenders and of suppliers
- Specific procurement needs of energy sector companies
- Supplier pre-qualification processes
- Common mistakes when tendering
- Role of Industry Capability Network Queensland (ICN)
- Tender documentation preparation
- How tenders are evaluated
- Expectation of corporations regarding Quality Assurance and Health, Safety and Environmental
4. Example Request For Tender documents provided by corporations
5. Systems and processes: Information regarding the systems and processes that should be implemented prior to tendering.
PART B: 1 hour session ($600 ex GST)*
Pre-submission assessment to check the tender before submitted to ensure tender conforms plus feedback (conducted after SME has implemented above learnings).
